That’s Muzzamil on the right…....but his efforts at improving the image of Muslims would appear to have failed.

Why?

THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES IS PROPOSING TO “NEGOTIATE” WITH PEOPLE WHO THINK LIKE THIS…...

Listen to these two ladies explain their purpose in life, and what they see as the highest aspiration for their sons, their brothers, and their husbands…...
. .
And then ask yourself where she learned it…...  Clearly from the leaders of her country - the very people that Jimmy Carter wants us to sit down and negotiate with, and that President Obama has promised to sit down and negotiate with.  The very people who continue to say publicly that they desire the destruction of our government, our society, and our way of life….to be replaced by the restoration of the Islamic caliphate.
. .
And the reason that some folks refuse to believe them is….....?

ARE YOU FEELING SAFE, HERE IN “FORTRESS AMERICA”?

Well….have a look at THIS TRAILER, and then tell your political leaders you want them to invest in protection, rather than in the “porkapalooza” they’re calling a “stimulus package”!

ARE YOU FEELING OPTIMISTIC ABOUT AFGHANISTAN, NOW THAT OUR PRESIDENT IS GOING TO CONCENTRATE ON IT?

Not to burst your bubble - well, actually…YES, to burst your bubble - but listen to Michael Yon, who has been in both Iraq and Afghanistan for months and months and months, and recently, too.  He spends his time with the people and the troops, rather than with the press in the “safe areas”, and he BLOGS RIGHT HERE about it all.

When he heard about Senator Lieberman’s recent RATHER OPTIMISTIC SPEECH, he e-mailed the following:

IS IT LEGITIMATE TO RECORD CAMPAIGN PROMISES MADE BY POLITICIANS?  EVEN IF IT’S OBAMA?

Because that’s what those nasty guys at INVESTOR’S BUSINESS DAILY EDITORIALS have done…...for shame!
.

Few presidential candidates have made more specific promises to American voters than Barack Obama. They came so fast and furious in the latter part of the campaign, you’d be excused for not keeping up. So as a public service, we’ve put together a handy checklist of some of the biggest Obama promises — culled from his “Blueprint for Change,“ his campaign speeches and advertisements. Clip it. Save it. And see how he did in four years.

STOP THE PRESSES—NEW YORK TIMES DISCOVERS TERRORISTS AT GITMO!!

Better late than never, I suppose…..

I’ll have to admit I’d be more respectful of the PAPER OF RECORD, if this discovery had occurred BEFORE the elections, but never mind…....

“It would be very difficult for a new president to come in and say, ‘I don’t believe what the C.I.A. is saying about these guys,’ ” said Daniel Marcus, a Democrat who was general counsel of the 9/11 Commission and held senior positions in the Carter and Clinton administrations….But as a new administration begins to sort through the government’s dossiers on the men, the analysis shows, officials are likely to face tough choices in deciding how many of Guantánamo’s hard cases should be sent home, how many should be charged and what to do with the rest.

This is really quite the change, don’t you think?  After the last five years of reading the NYT, I was under the impression that the guys at Gitmo were simply farmers, goat-herders, and innocent bystanders swept up by the indiscriminate rampages of the American military…....what on earth has changed?  Hmmmmmmmmm?
